"MACDONALD - Sharon Faye Macdonald passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Rockyview Hospital on Monday, August 21, 2000 at the age of 58 years. Besides her loving husband, Bruce, Sharon is survived by and will be greatly missed by her children, Shari Streblow (Helmut) and Kristy Humphries (Paul); as well as her grandchildren, Taverann Humphries and Alexandra Macdonald. Sharon was predeceased by her son Todd in April 2000. She is also survived by her mother Frances Smith of Calgary; and her sister Gail Powell (John) of Toronto, and their children, Ross, Michael and Lori. Sharon, having worked in the travel industry, loved to travel and had the good fortune of visiting many countries. While a true native Calgarian, it was Hawaii that won her heart and where she spent her happiest times. Sharon will be dearly remembered by her friends and family, both in Canada and Hawaii for her wonderful sense of humor and her love of children and animals. A memorial service will be held at Scarboro United Church (134 Scarboro Avenue S.W.) today, August 25, 2000, at 10:00 a.m. Flowers are gratefully declined. To email expressions of sympathy: condolences@mcinnisandholloway.com, subject heading: Sharon Macdonald. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the charity of the donor's choice. "MICHAEL JOHN POWELLSuddenly on February 28, 2017 at the age of 56. Very precious Husband of Carol Taplin, Wonderful Son to Gail and John and Step-Father Don Bainbridge, Loving Son-in-Law to Betty Taplin. Greatly missed by Sister Lori Williams (Ted) and Brother Ross. Adoring Uncle to Lindsay, Michelle, Megan, Stewart and Spencer and very special Daddy to our beloved little dog 'Khola.' Michael was a sweet, gentle, strong man who loved Golfing, Fishing, being up north and always helping others. Michael cared very much for his family and his friends and all the 4-footed ones too! Every once in a while you come across a special person in life and Michael was one of those special and caring people. We lost Michael way too early in his life and we will all miss him so. Hold on tightly to your loved ones - you just never know when they all of a sudden won't be there. We also would like to say a very special thank you to the Emergency Response Personnel and Markham Stouffville Hospital.
