"On 14 June 1828 when George was 33, he married Isabella Willox, daughter of Thomas Willox and Margaret Stevenson, in Macduff. Isabella was born on 22 July 1808 in Huntly, Aberdeen, and died in Banff on 7 July 1888, aged 79 years."

"William Paterson married Isabel King, daughter of William King and Isabel Walker. They had one child named James, born 14 April, 1811 and died at 7 High Street, Macduff on 8 May, 1886, aged 75 years. His occupation was Master House Carpenter, but he was described as a Wright in the 1881 census. In 1841 census he was living in Paterson Street with wife Helen (30); daughter Helen (4); and son Robert (1). In 1851 census family was living at 5 School Lane. James is described as house carpenter and cabinet maker. In 1861 census they are living in Market Street, with James (16); William (13); Isabella (11); and Alexander (9). In 1881 census lived at 28 Skene Street, ocupation given as Wright. Also listed in the house was James Mitchell (50) lodger / general merchant born in Drumblade Aberdeen. The MI in Doune churchyard reads "Erected by Helen Mackie in memory of her husband James paterson late carpenter, who died 8 May 1886 in the 76th year of his age, and of their family Isabella, died 6 Feb 1836 aged 10 months; James died 7th Feb 1837 aged 3 years; James died 24th Oct 1840 aged 2 years; the above Helen Mackie who died 9 Oct 1892 aged 81 years. A tender parent we regret, a loving Mother dear, We know she's gone to endliss bliss, and left her sorrows here."
