"ACAMPORA, Evelyn (nee: Karbonik) On January 20, 2008, Mrs. Evelyn Acampora, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away peacefully at the age of 83 years. She is survived by her loving daughters, Gina (Roy Vernon) Vivone-Vernon and JoAnne both of Nanaimo; cherished grandson, Christopher (Sarah Grand) Vivone of Ottawa; five sisters, Stella, Leona, Helen, Mary (Allen) and Nadia (Richard); two brothers, Nick (Fredda) and Richard (Ann). Evelyn is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews in Canada and the U.S. She was predeceased by her loving husband Sal; two sisters, Ann and Kay; five brothers, John, Steve, Bill, Fred and Eugene and brothers and sisters-in-law. A Celebration of Evelyn's life will be held in the chapel at Hainstock's Funeral Home on Friday January 25, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. 9810-34 Avenue Edmonton. In memory of Evelyn, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
