The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 11, 1994 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Augustine's Anglican Church in Rosthern conducted by Rev. Canon R.S.L. McAdam. She is survived by her husband, Charlie Spriggs of Rosthern; one daughter, Erna Story of Belleville, ON; one son, Ronald (Violet) Groller of Calgary; a son in law, Roland Krieger of Saskatoon; a step-daughter, Pat (Jim) Dyck of Kelowna, BC; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two sisters; and six brothers. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Anna Fast; her first husband, Rudolph Grolla; one son, Gerald; one daughter, Louise Krieger; and a son in law, George Story; two sisters; and two brothers. Interment will take place in the Rosthern Cemetery."

She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Spriggs; parents, Johann and Elizabeth Lesser; sisters and brother, Benjamin Lesser, Esther (Henry) Bettger, Rosie (Kenneth) Goodhope. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 7, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Rosthern with Rev. Clayton Beish officiating. Predeceased by her husband Russell (1974), also predeceased by sister Margorie Kalbfleisch and brothers Ted, Charlie, Herb, Doug, Rolph and William Spriggs. Survived by sister Dorothy (Art) Bensch, children Margaret (Denny) Haverstock and Bob O'Brian, grandchildren, Jackie (Doug) Steele, Jeff Haverstock and Tammy (Paul) Smalls, great-granddaughter Laura. Born March 23, 1920 in Duck Lake, Saskatchewan, and enjoyed his early years in Duck Lake, learning his life long trade from his father. Mr. Spriggs had served in the Armed Forces from 1943 - 1946 and was a dedicated legion member. In 1948 he moved to Leask at which time he established his Leask Butcher Shop. He was married to Irene Baynton in 1950. Herb was an ardent sportsman who enjoyed hockey, curling, hunting and fishing. He loved his family and always had an open house for his friends. Irene and family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Saskatoon City Hospital and St. Paul's Intensive Care Units for the kindness and support they gave Herb, Irene and family. Memorials may be made to the Leask Level III Special Care Home in lieu of other tributes. Interment in the Leask cemetery. Irene Liliane Spriggs of Leask, passed away peacefully at Shellbrook Hospital on April 3, 2010. The Vigil of Prayer was held April 9, 2010 and the Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, April 10, 2010 in Saint Henry's Parish in Leask. The celebrant was Father Emile April of Humboldt. Irene was born in Rosthern on February 27, 1929 , and was raised on a farm near Carlton. She went to high school at the Duck Lake Convent and became a teacher for a short time before marrying Herbert Spriggs in 1950. Together they operated Spriggs Meats in Leask for 35 years until Herbert's passing. She enjoyed her summers at Emerald Lake with family and friends , and fishing trips to Dore Lake. She was an active member of the parish, Leask Seniors and was a proud member of Leask Legion Branch #79 and her role as a Legion Flag Bearer for 53 years. She will be forever remembered for her love of family and friends, picking wild berries, and gifts of Irene's Wild Strawberry Jam. Irene is survived by her ten children, Judith (David) Rourke Okotoks, Brenda (Frank) Slupski Calgary, Jacquelyn (Omer) Bonin Marcelin, Deborah (Leo) Troesch Saskatoon, Betty Rose (Chris) Harrison Richmond, Margaret (Clayton) Schuweiler Assiniboia, Thomas (Myrna) Spriggs Leask, Dorothy (Kelly) Broadhead Keg River, Arthur (Vivian) Spriggs Leask, Patricia (Andre) Couture Debden; and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters, Eleanor Lefevre, Marie (Ignit) Stetsko and brother, John Baynton. She was predeceased by her husband, Herb in 1987; her parents, John and Celina Baynton; her sister, Denyse Wilkins. Interment took place in the Leask Cemetery. ARTHUR JOHN "ART" BENSCH, long time Vernon resident, recently of Osoyoos, passed away on Friday November 2nd at the age of 90 years. A Mmeorial serice will be held on Saturday November 10th from the Osoyoos Kingdom Hall at 2:00 p.m. with Brian Murphy officiating. Art will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family including his children; David of Vancouver, Bobbe (Ray) Ardiel of Osoyoos and Arleen (Dave) Nalutka of Ashcroft. Five grandchildren as well as eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy last year, his grandson Randy Ardiel in April of 2000 as well as his sister Dorothy and his brother Roy. Art was born and raised in Alberta and spent some time in Whitehorse before movong to Vernon in 1968. Vernon remained his home until this past January when he moved to Osoyoos to be near family."

DOROTHY HELEN BENSCH passed away peacefully at the Vernon Jubilee Hospital on November 30, 2000. She was born in Duck Lake, Saskatchewan on May 6, 1923. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband Art, their children, Bobbee (Ray) of Osoyoos, B.C., Arlene (David) of Port Moody, B.C., and David of Vancouver, B.C.; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was a Pediatrics Nurse in Vernon for many years. At Dorothy's request, no service will be held."

She was born December 14th, 1931 in Dodsland, Sask., of the late Jesse and Catharine Bailey. During her lifetime she resided in Druid, Saskatoon, and in Rosthern for approximately the past 30 years. She was married to Mr. Rolph Spriggs. She received her education in Neilburg and Rosthern and was a member of the Rosthern Ladies' Service Club, Vestry Board of St. Augustine's Anglican church, and I.O.D.E., Batoche chapter. Predeceased by her parents and an infant daughter, Marjorie; she is survived by her loving husband, Rolph, and son James Frank Spriggs (Lucille) of Rosthern; and two sisters, Marhjorie (Ken Goodrich) of Ottawa, Ontario, and Isabel Bailey of Regina, Sask.
