Pugh, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. George Pugh, of Birkenhead. The Rev. P.C. Davis, vicar of Birkenhead, performed the ceremony, which was semi-choral, and Mrs. J. V. Steel played the wedding music. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a gown of ivory lace over satin beaute, fashioned on long lines. Her embroidered veil, which formed a train, was arranged with a cape effect, and was held in place by three cirles of orange blossoms. She carried a sheath of tiny arum lilies and maidenhair fern. The two bridesmaids were Miss Zoe Mentzer and Miss Lilah Pugh, sisters of the bride and bridegroom respectively. They were gowned alike in frocks of blush rose pink satin and silk net. The bodices were fastened to frilled skirts drooping to the ankles at the back. Wide black felt hats trimmed with cire ribbon were slightly turned off the face, revealing a large pink orchid under the brim. They carried sheaves of blue, irises and fern. Mr. Roy Pugh was best man. After the ceremony a reception was held in the Victoria Hall. The mother of the bride received her guests wearing a frock of navy georgette relieved with turquoise and gold trimming under a black sealskin coat and a navy hat with ospreys.
