Barnes, Mount Albert, was celebrated at St. Luke's Church, Mount Albert, on the 7th inst The Rev. W. Wilson officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, was beautifully dressed in creme taffeta voile. She wore the usual veil and orange blossoms, and carried a beautiful shower bouquet The bridesmaids were Misses Winifred and Ida Barnes, sisters of the bride, and Misses Phyllis and Dorothy Winsone, nieces of the bridegroom, who were dressed in creme voile, and carried beautiful bouquets and baskets of flowers. Mr E. Jones acted as best man, and Mr H. Jones as groomsman. After the ceremony a large number of friends assembled at St. Luke's Hall, where afternoon tea was provided. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a diamond and ruby bangle, and to each of the bridesmaids he gave a pretty gold chain and locket.".
