"FORSYTH George Duncan Forsyth died in Salmon Arm, BC on December 28, 2003 aged 85. A celebration of life service and reception will be held from the Royal Canadian Legion, Bridgeport Branch # 209, 11131 Bridgeport Road, Richmond, BC on Sundaymorning, January 4, 2004 at 11 a.m. with Jack Bowers presiding. George retired from a long career with BC Ferries, having been the head Captain at the Albion Ferry, Fort Langley. A veteran of WW 11 he received recognition for his time on the Gothic Line. He leaves his loving wife of 62 years, Muriel, his son, Craig (Dena) of Salmon Arm, his daughter Terry (Pat) Hamar of Abbotsford, 5 grandchildren, Nichol, Dustin, Britney, Michael and Sean; sisters and brothers, Jean McDonald, Don and Bob Forsyth of White Rock, Joan Smythe of Surrey and Ken Forsyth of Ladner. "Muriel Mina Forsyth

Mrs. Muriel Mina Forsyth late of Abbotsford, BC passed away on May 18, 2011 at the age of 93 in Abbotsford, BC.

She is survived by: her sister Isabel Lang, half sister June Bell, son Craig (Dena) Forsyth, daughter Terry (Pat) Hamar, grandchildren: Michael (Jamie) Hamar, Sean (Lisa) Hamar, Dustin (Kathy) Forsyth, Britney Forsyth, Nichol Forsyth, and great-granddaughter McKenna Rhea Forsyth.

She was predeceased by: her parents Vona and Joseph Clifford, sister Dorothy, brother Joe and her beloved George who she missed dearly.

Muriel was a loving mother and wife, and a beautiful artist. She sang and played the piano, guitar and accordion. She wrote verses for Hallmark Cards, received Golden Poet Awards and had a poem Published in the Great American Poetry Anthology. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, June 6, 2011 at 11:00 am at Henderson’s Funeral Home at 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford, BC with Pastor Mike Stevenson officiating. In lieu of flowers please always honour your veterans on Remembrance Day, support them and wear your poppy proudly. Donations may also be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Menno Home, especially David for his compassion."

"FORSYTH Kenneth James October 19, 1922 September 28, 2007 With his family by his side, Ken passed away peacefully at home, three weeks short of his 85th birthday. Ken had a full life full of love, family, friends, traveling and tending to his garden. He is very sadly missed and will always be loved by his wife of 59 years, Marie, his beloved daughters Marjorie Forsyth, Susan Myler (Don) and Katie Ryan (Richard), cherished grandchildren Scott and Stefanie Myler, Kenny and Jillian Ryan and Josee and Clio Forsyth-Morrissette. Also survived by his sisters Jean and Joan, brothers Bob (Lyla) and Don (Grace), many nieces, nephews and dear life long friends, especially Mary McInnes. Ken was very proud of his Richmond pioneer heritage and always remembered his roots. Dad was very active in his girls' activities. He was past president of the Vancouver Ladies' Pipe band, member of the B.C. Highland Dancing Assn., Richmond Yacht Club and 14 year member of the Ladner Lawn Bowling Club. We will always remember Dad for his gentle nature and fun loving spirit. A celebration of his great life will be held at 12 noon, Friday, October 5th at the Delta Funeral Home, 5329 Ladner Trunk Road, Ladner, B.C. Flowers are gratefully declined, but should you wish, donations to the Delta Hospital Foundation would be gratefully appreciated. Sleep well Dad, We love you."
