He was predeceased by his parents Christopher and Amy and by his brother Jack. Dr. Voice lived a full life of service with many achievements. He served as Chaplain for St. John Ambulance for 32 years and was honored by being made an Officer in the Sovereign Order of St. John of Jerusalem. He was a school principal in Coquitlam; Pastor of the Christian Apostolic Church until it closed in 2013; worked for 16 years for the Federal Government Medical Services as a Counsellor and Consultant on First Nations Reserves in the North-East Zone of B.C. and welcomed new Canadians at the Citizenship Court. After his retirement, his final years were filled with the challenges that accompany dementia. In keeping with his wishes, his memorial will be a simple family gathering. "KOSCIELSKI, Helen
(née Kozakiewicz)
On Monday, July 8, 2019, Helen Koscielski (née Kozakiewicz), loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away in Vancouver at the age of 93. Helen was born on September 30, 1925, in Dawyd-Horodok, Belarus. Helen survived exceptional hardships during WWII, then bravely immigrated to Canada alone as a young woman in 1948. She settled in Vancouver. Shortly thereafter, she fell in love with and married Kazimierz Koscielski, and they raised two sons. Helen was strongly devoted to her family above all else. She spent much of her life creating a loving environment for everyone. She was a very loyal friend. She was not only a talented seamstress, but an excellent knitter, cook, and homemaker. She will be remembered as a strong, independent, tireless, generous and hardworking woman. She had a good sense of humour, and strongly adhered to her values. Helen will be sorely missed. Helen was predeceased by her husband Kazimierz in May 1989. She is survived by her sons Jack and Ken (Debbie), grandchildren Yolanda, James (Leah), and Kathleen (Leigh), and great-grandchildren Chloe, Adam, Tyson, Emma and Roman. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at St. Casimir's Polish Parish, 1187 East 27th Ave, Vancouver, at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to ASK Friendship Centre (http:/askcentre.ca/donate-to-ask/) in Helen's name would be greatly appreciated."
